APPLICATION FOR ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP

 

To apply for Associate Membership please submit three (3) copies of your C.V., including details of relevant training, work experience, the number of hours of personal therapy you have been engaged in, as well as details of your past and current supervision, if applicable. Note that your email address and a telephone contact must be included in the body of the application. Please provide a copy of your academic transcript and a copy of your Diploma or Degree that was awarded by your training institute to confirm that you have satisfactorily completed the necessary academic training program in Somatic Psychotherapy You must also include evidence that you have completed 10 hours of approved supervision aligned to 40 approved client contact hours. This should accompany a letter which includes some personal details about yourself and states why you wish to become an Associate member. In this letter please also indicate that you are willing to abide by the Association's Code of Ethical Conduct.

Your application will be considered at the next meeting of the Membership Committee. Following this meeting, you will be invited to a short interview with two clinical AASP members. You will subsequently receive a letter advising of the outcome of the interview and details concerning your membership commencement date and the fees due.
